At BESGO (Business Education for Social Good), we are committed to equipping students with the mindset and tools to explore how business, innovation, and entrepreneurship can address social challenges and create meaningful impact.
We’re proud to share that a team of CUHK Business School students — Abbie Huen, Jason Yip, and Alex Lai — were named Grand Champions at the National Chiayi University (NCYU) Business Proposal Challenge held on 23 June 2025! 🏆
As CUHK’s first time joining this Taiwan-based community-focused competition under the Asian Business Education Network (ABEN), the experience was more than a win — it was a powerful exercise in cross-cultural problem solving and global competence building.
The team took on a real-world challenge from SUNHOYA Winery (日造酒妝), crafting a data-informed marketing strategy for its plum wine line. Their campaign theme, “#下班見” (“Meet After Work”), smartly targeted young working women, blending lifestyle insights with cultural relevance and tech integration.
What truly stood out was their professionalism and commitment — conducting virtual company tours, researching consumer trends, and pitching their ideas with confidence and clarity.
This is what BESGO strives for:
✅ Tackling business challenges with social insight
✅ Promoting values-driven innovation
✅ Empowering students to apply business knowledge for social good
We sincerely thank our partners at National Chiayi University and SUNHOYA Winery for the opportunity, appreciate the guidance from Dr Fred Ku whose support made this journey possible.
Through BESGO, we’re building a platform where students become changemakers — developing solutions that serve both communities and companies.
